DILLON, Marie C.
of Oshtemo, Michigan Marie went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday afternoon, May 28, 2013 at her home with her family by her side. She was born June 25, 1921 in Kalamazoo, the last of seven children to the late Dewey Sr. and Dena Schippers VanderMeer. Marie was employed by Gilmore Brothers Department Store in Kalamazoo for 17 years until her retirement. She was also a longtime member of Fourth Reformed Church. Preceding her in death was her husband, Fred Dillon in 1970. Surviving are their four children, Ruth Glen Wagner of Portage, Norma Kilyanek of Oshtemo, Tom Karen Dillon of Galesburg and Donna Cole of Oshtemo; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marian Razenberg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family at 10:00 AM on Friday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, with a funeral service at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Russell Camp officiating. A luncheon will follow the service. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Reverence Hospice.
