Maria Pleysier

Maria Pleysier, age 90, passed away Friday morning, July 31, 2009 in Holland Hospital. She was born in the Netherlands, July 21, 1919. Maria has lived in Kalamazoo since 1956 and was employed by Bronson Hospital, was a member of First Christian Reformed Church of Kalamazoo and Grace Chr. Ref. Church. She was a long time member of the Kalamazoo Oratorio Society and with her husband, Jan Pleysier, were volunteers for the Kalamazoo City Mission for many years. Maria was preceded in death by her husband in 1996. Surviving are her children Henny and Jack De Roo of Holland, Michigan; Albert and Jane Pleysier of Mt. Airy, Georgia; five grandchildren: John, Mark and Nicole De Roo; Jean and Aron Pleysier and one great grandson Joey De Roo. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 4 at 3 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 622 Burdick St, Kalamazoo, Michigan.
