Of Kalamazoo Maria passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at her home. She was born January 19, 1969 in Battle Creek. Surviving are her parents, Thomas Sr. and Juniata Root Earl; 4 children, Kris Earl, Krystle Huizar-Earl, Sheena Lake and Sierra Lake; 3 grandchildren, Nasir, Malia, Rylee; brothers and sisters, Tandy Earl, Gabe Earl, Tony Earl, Ryan Highfield, Elspeth Highfield, Robin John Howard, Tom Jr. Dixie Earl Deb Earl and Brenda Earl; uncle, Chris Carroll Root; and numerous cousins and extended family. Funeral services for Maria will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Northeastern Baptist Church, 6536 E. G Avenue, where friends may visit with the family from 10 AM until the time of services.
