WOODRUFF, Margaret E.
Of Portage Margaret E. Woodruff, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother departed this life on Wednesday, November 7, 2007. She was 88 years old, living her final days at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Marg was born January 6, 1919, in Gladstone, Michigan, the daughter of Hugh and Clara Bourbonois Martin. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Patsy Davis of Portage; her grandchildren, Jeff Davis of Portage, Timothy Waskerwitz of Huntsville, AL, Kelley Andy Edelbrock of Granger, IN, Trisha Meyers of Portage and Dane Ann Davis of Portage. She was dearly loved by all twelve of her great-grandchildren, who all knew her as ?GeeGee?. The great-grandchildren are: Ashlee Davis, Kayla, AJ and Bradon Edelbrock, Jessica, Emilee and Jacob Meyers, Olivia and Caroline Davis and Jacob, Charlie and Max Godsil. She is also survived by two sisters; Sandy Liesen of Clio, MI, and Betty Romanowski of Flushing, MI; as well as many nieces and nephews. Marg was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin C. Pickett; her second husband, James Paul Woodruff; her daughter, Karen Lee Pickett Waskerwitz; and by her siblings, Clara Josie Zambon, Vivian Deming, Loretta Hina Cushaway and Catherine Woodruff. The family will have a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 13 at St. Catherine of Siena Church 1150 W. Centre Ave; Portage, MI with Father Kevin Covert, presiding. Graveside Services will be held 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, November 14 at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel 3415 E. Hill Rd; Grand Blanc, MI. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Margaret?s memory which may be directed to Hospice Care of SW Michigan, 222 N. Kalamazoo Mall, Kalamazoo, MI 49007.
