TAYLOR, Margaret "Peggy"
Formerly of Galesburg Passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011. Peggy was born February 12, 1926 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Leonard J. Sr. and Florence Evans Feltes and was a lifelong resident of the Galesburg and Kalamazoo area. She was a graduate of State High School and Western Michigan University and worked at the Bronson Hospital Radiology Department for 7 years. She had served as the President of the Alpha Beta Epsilon Sorority Alumni. Peggy was a member of the First Congregational Church of Kalamazoo where she served as a Sunday School teacher and a greeter. On October 11, 1946 she married Curtis Dean Taylor, Jr., who preceded her in death on February 4, 2003. She was also preceded by her parents; her brother, Leonard Betty Feltes; and a sister, Mauna Frank Arvai. Peggy is survived by her children, Mark Patricia Taylor of South Haven, MI, Brian Sandra Taylor of Holly, MI and Brent Sue Taylor of Gulf Breeze, FL; grandchildren, Christopher Julie and Brian Micheal Michelle Taylor, Christopher Christy Campbell, Creighton Taylor, Craig Mindy Campbell and Zachary and Katie Soo Taylor; 11 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4-8 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek Street. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Galesburg Historical Museum and Library.
