SCHWERIN, Margaret C.
of Portage, Michigan God called his angel on earth home to heaven on May 27, 2013. Margaret was born November 18, 1921 in Berwyn, IL to the late Robert and Charlotte Bernhardt Noha. She was united in marriage to Arthur Schwerin on April 17, 1943. Together, she and Arthur were longtime members of Zion Lutheran Church in Kalamazoo, as well as devoted parents and grandparents. She was happiest participating in family activities and vacations. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Arthur Schwerin of Portage; her children, Arthur J. "AJ" Ruby Schwerin , Susan C. Jim Finley, Pamela G. Stan Leitz and Mark E. Sandy Schwerin; her 7 grandchildren Jason April Finley, Jonathon Lauren Finley, Paul Stefanie Leitz, Amy Kyle Fill, Andrew Leitz, Nick Schwerin, Amy Schwerin; 3 great grandchildren, Braeden Finley, Angel Schwerin, Ashlynn Leitz and one on the way; and nieces and nephews. Preceding Margaret in death was her brother, Edward Noha. A memorial service will take place Friday, 11:00 at Zion Lutheran Church, Kalamazoo, where the family will greet friends from 10-11:00 prior to the service. Luncheon immediately following service at the church. Arrangements by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church, 2122 Bronson Blvd.
