HARRIS, Margaret Of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Monday morning, December 1, 2008 at her residence. Margaret was born May 15, 1934 the daughter of Buell and Mary Woods Laughlin. Prior to her retirement she was employed with the Mead Company for 39 years. Margaret was a member of the Berean Baptist Church where she played the organ for several years, and was a part of the Berean Women's Ensemble. In high school, Margaret played in the Otsego Marching Band. She was an avid reader; and enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling with Bob across the country. On May 28, 1966 Margaret was united in marriage to her loving husband Robert Harris who survives. Also surviving is her daughter, Teri Barry; 2 grandchildren, Brooke Tony Hawley, Matthew Barry; a great grandson, Nicholas Hawley; 2 sisters, Marcia Kindig, Myrna Bob Kokesch; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marion Swinehart. Services will be held at 10:00 o'clock Thursday at the Berean Baptist Church, 7813 South 12th Street, with Pastors Will Davis and Steven Nichols officiating. Friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery following a time of fellowship after the service at church. Memorials may be directed to the Hospice Services of Southwest Michigan or the West Michigan Cancer Center. www.langelands.com
