Marcella “Marcie” A. Pearman, age 89 of Kalamazoo, Michigan formerly of South Bend, Indiana, died on December 28, 2024. She was born on April 21, 1935, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Frank and Marcella (Hesko) Wall. Marcie was a graduate of Mount St. Mary’s Academy and Georgian Court University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in biology. On July 16, 1960, she married Floyd Pearman. As a young woman, she worked for General Electric on the Apollo I project. In 1961, the couple moved to South Bend where Floyd was completing his residency and made the city their home. She worked to support the hospital where Floyd was a physician and volunteered at the local library. Her life’s work was her family and caring for her three children. She was known for her green thumb and needlework. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Floyd, her sons Floyd and Sean, her granddaughter Suzanne Pearman, and her brother Geoff Wall. She is survived by her daughter Marci (Jim) Daniel; her daughters-in-law: Brenda Pearman and Anne Pearman; her grandchildren: Loralee (David) Ward, Stuart (Alayna) Pearman, Rachel Daniel, and Ryan Daniel; her great-granddaughter Phoebe Ward; her brother Joe (Cris) Wall; her brother-in-law William Pearman; and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at St Joseph Valley Memorial Park, 375 West Cleveland Rd, Granger, IN 46530, on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
