Malinda F Houghton

HOUGHTON, Malinda F. Kalamazoo Passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007. She was born November 23, 1931 in Bowen, KY the daughter of George and Sarah Townsend Townsend and had been a resident of this area for several years. Malinda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Houghton on September 1, 2001; and a sister, Elizabeth Hamilton. She is survived by her children, Mitchell Maggie Houghton, Debra Griffioen, Anita Brown and Candice Jones; several grand and great grandchildren; her sisters, Mandy Hensley, Ethel Shepperd, Joyce Rugg, Barbara Giles, Ida Mae Mc Kenzie and Sandy Schuler; her brothers, Andrew Townsend and Charles Townsend; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 Monday in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with Pastor John Vick officiating. Interment will follow in Almena Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 PM.
