Mae Ann Evard

EVARD, Mae A.
of Richland Passed away March 21, 2009 at Plainwell Pines Nursing Home. She was born June 14, 1930 in Oakland County, MI, to the late Ray A. and Cecilia Detour Easton. Mae was united in marriage on August 17, 1953, to Donald J. Evard, who predeceased her in May of 2008. Mae moved to Kalamazoo in the mid-1950's. She was employed for a time at VanDenBos Greenhouse and for several years at the Nagel Bulb Farm. She enjoyed the simple things; a long scenic walk, a Sunday afternoon ride in the country, and spending time with her granddaughters. Surviving Mae are, her daughter, Linda Ken Hodges of Kalamazoo; sisters, Carmen Glenn Stout and Lorraine Pyrl Evard; 2 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Lawrence Stout. Services will take place Thursday, 2:00pm with family greeting friends from 1-2:00pm, from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. A private interment will be at Mt.
