Lynn Minor

MINOR, Lynn Kalamazoo Passed away Saturday evening, August 18th, at home. She was born April 5, 1933 in Frackville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Jack and Olive Phillips. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church on Park Street. After graduating from Kalamazoo Central High school, she went on to study at Western Michigan University where she became a part of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she had many close, lifetime friends and was a member of the Service Club of Kalamazoo. She married Bill Minor in Angola, Indiana on May 13, 1952, who survives. Also surviving are her; sons, Craig Suzy Minor of Houston, TX, Scott Minor of Kalamazoo and Chris Wendy Minor of Mattawan; grandchildren, Jake, Nick, Christopher, Jason and Tim Minor. Services will be held 11 o'clock Thursday, August 23rd at 1st United Methodist Church, Rev.Dr. Douglas Vernon, officiating. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 22nd, from 6-8:00PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, and again on Thursday at the church, from 10:00 to 10:45AM. Interment will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery Chapel. Memorials may be directed in Lynn?s name, to the Alzheimer?s Association, Kalamazoo Humane Society or to the First United Methodist Church, 212 S. Park St., Kalamazoo.
