Lyle Dean Bradeen

Bradeen, Lyle Dean Of Kalamazoo, MI Passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 at home. Age 74 years. He was born January 19, 1938 in Kalamazoo, the son of the late Allen "Cye" and Beulah Maine Bradeen. He served with the United States Army for three years. He worked as a firefighter for the Kalamazoo Fire Department. He also worked as a subcontractor for Bill Imus Construction. Lyle was an inventor and recently received a patent on a bird feeder he had invented. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and made his own fishing baits. He was married to Rose Leversee Bradeen on June 22, 1962; she survives him. Also surviving are four children, Tami Edward Paterala of Portage, James Bradeen PhD Greg King PhD of Minnesota, Michael Jean Bradeen of Parchment and Steven Bradeen of Kalamazoo; six grandchildren, Ben, Matt, Ashley, Ryan, Kylynn, Taylor and Brandon; one great-granddaughter, Izzabelle; two brothers, Lynn Bradeen of Florida and Rex Charlotte Bradeen of Temperence, MI; one sister, Beverly Meadows of Florida; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lyle was preceded by a brother, Marlin Bradeen; and a granddaughter, Charity. There will be no funeral service. Lyle's remains will be buried at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date. Friends may join the family for a luncheon from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1332 Branch Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49001. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, 222 N. Kalamazoo Mall, Suite 100, Kalamazoo, MI 49007 or to West Michigan Cancer Center 200 N. Park St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007.
