PANSE, Mrs. Lucille L.

Formerly of Kalamazoo Went home to be with her Lord December 8, 2007. She was born on May 9, 1911 in Sebewaing, Michigan, toFrederick and Nina Schwalm Hintze. In 1935 she married Jacob J. Panse who preceded her in death in 1995; four of her sisters also preceded her in death. She graduated valedictorian from Sebewaing High School in 1929 and graduated from Parsons Business School in 1930. She worked as a stenographer in several businesses in Kalamazoo $17 dollars per week before concentrating her considerable talents to her family full time. She was an active member of the Lane Boulevard Church for over 60 years, serving as organist, choir member, teacher, and many other positions. Her quiet and purposeful life is exhibited in her writing and composition skills evident in published music and personal papers and correspondence, and the love of her family and friends for her and each other. Lucille is survived by her sister Phyllis Lenting of Galesburg, her brother James Hintze of Glen Arbor, children Craig and Mary Lynn Panse of Plainwell, Michigan, Bruce and Carol Panse of Holland, Michigan, Jane and Dennis Kaleugher of Holland, Michigan, 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Dr. Mark Schauer and his nurse Mary of Bronson Hospital and to all the other dedicated health professionals who have helped with Lucille?s quality of life for many years. Private interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery in Kalamazoo, Michigan with a public memorial service to be held in 2008. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland, 270 Hoover Boulevard, Holland, Michigan 49423. Arrangements were made by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick.
