Kalamazoo Passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012. Lucille was born September 30, 1926 in Comstock, MI, a daughter of the late Raymond and Jeanette Keizer Slager. She was a longtime member of Grace Christian Reformed Church. On September 26, 1946, she married John Glas, who preceded her in death on June 5, 2011. Lucille is survived by her children, Carolyn Dean Vander Meulen of Shelbyville, MI, Marjorie Dan Vanden Berg of Kalamazoo, Shirley Jerry Boven of Portage and David Jane Glas of Kalamazoo; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; brothers Kenneth Alice Slager and Ralph Harriet Slager; sister-in-law, Lena Hartman; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lois Slager. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the Grace Christian Reformed Church, 1724 Whites Rd., with Rev. Greg Timmer officiating. A private interment will take place in Comstock Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-8 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. and on Tuesday, at the church beginning at 10:00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission or to Park Village Pines.
