Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Thursday evening September 11, 2008. Lucile was born November 27, 1920 in Blunt, South Dakota a daughter of Everett and Almora Starbuck Jones. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident for 10 years, coming from Bangor. She was employed with the Bangor Advance Newspaper for 15 years before retiring. She was also a member of Milwood United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William H. Irwin, Sr. on December 30, 1997; a sister, Alice Dillenbeck; and a brother, Nyel Jones. She is survived by 3 children, William Jean Irwin, Jr. of Kalamazoo, Bonnie DeRidder of Marshall, and Bruce Becky Jones Irwin of Kalamazoo; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Jean Melford Harrington of Kalamazoo; a sister-in-law, Lillian Jones of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 10:30 Tuesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
