Louise R Potts

POTTS, Louise R. Kalamazoo Mrs. Potts passed away Wednesday morning, February 21, 2007 at The Fountains at Bronson Place. A lifelong resident of Kalamazoo, she was born December 26, 1924, the daughter of the late Willard and Irene Bloxsom Austin. On January 25, 1947, Louise was united in marriage to Allen Potts in Kalamazoo. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1995. Also preceding her in death are her parents; and one brother, Mike Austin. Surviving are four children, Janice James Rice of Otsego, Larry Potts of Portage, Dorene Chad Pond of Granger, IN, and JoAnne Potts of Portage; four grandchildren, James Rice, Amanda Jacob Myers, Abbie Pond, and Cara Pond; two sisters, Dorothy Turk of Portage and Lorraine Fletcher of Kalamazoo; and close family friend, Elizabeth Dalzell. Louise enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her interests included crafting, games, traveling, and taking long walks. Funeral services for Mrs. Potts will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street. Private interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
