Louise A. Peacock

PEACOCK, Louise A.
of Portage Passed away July 17, 2011. She was born November 14, 1923 in Kalamazoo to the late Otis and Frances Garvin Peacock. After graduating high school, Louise began working for the Kalamazoo Township as an administrative clerk and did so for 34 years. She was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church where she signed for the hearing impaired. She also did volunteer work with Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes for many years. Louise is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Thomas Ritchel Rice Peacock, John Pearl "Margie" Hutchinson Peacock, George Peacock who is listed as M.I.A. since WWII, and Margaret Peacock. Surviving Louise are several nephews, nieces and cousins. Family will greet friends on Wednesday, July 20th from 10-11:00 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., where a funeral service will take place at 11:00 with Rev. Dana Arledge, officiating. Louise will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery.
