Of Kalamazoo, MI Died May 1, 2009 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Louise was born July 9, 1933 in Flint, MI, the daughter of Louis and Marie Vaugier Pelon. She obtained her Registered Nurse Degree from Nazareth College in Kalamazoo after which she was employed for 20 years at the Martha T. Berry Extended Care Facility in Macomb County. On June 1, 1957, she married John P. Burley and moved to Kalamazoo in 1998 where they became members of St. Monica Catholic Church. Louise was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving besides her husband John are 4 sons, Joseph Debra Burley of Plainwell, Daniel Christine Burley of Otsego, Matthew Burley of Mansfield, MA and Morris Sandra Burley of Grand Haven; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and a sister Ruth DeVonce of Flint, MI; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 o'clock on Wednesday at St. Monica Catholic Church, 4408 S. Westnedge Ave. Memorial contributions in Louise's memory may be made to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
