Formerly of Gainesville, FL Passed away June 29, 2008 at Bronson Hospital. Anne was born August 14, 1919 in Alma, MI the daughter of E. Blake and Lois Fraker MacDonald. She grew up in the Clawson, MI area and lived most of her adult life in Florida. She received her BA and MA degrees from the University of Michigan and her Post Graduate degree from Wayne State University in Occupational Therapy. She then became employed as an occupational therapist, both with Cerebral Palsy Center in Bowling Green, OH and then with the Veterans Administration Hospital. She later became Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy at the University of Florida. Anne supported her husband Richard, a world-class wheelchair athlete, as they traveled throughout the world, competing and teaching wheelchair athletics. Anne was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard in 1998 and by a brother Dr. Marshall MacDonald. During the past year, Anne lived in the supportive community of Amber Way, a special part of the Heritage Community of Kalamazoo. There she received care from a loving staff and participated in stimulating activities while her health needs were carefully met. No local services will be held.
