Louis Stanley Drenth

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the age of 93. Louis was born in Kalamazoo to the late Peter and Elizabeth (Klok) Drenth on June 4, 1928. Louis married Mary VanderWeele on June 30, 1950, and shared over 65 years of marriage until her death in 2016. He worked at Clarage Fan Company as a tool design engineer until being drafted into the United States Army in 1953 during the Korean War. Louis was employed at Consumers Concrete as a sales manager for over 30 years, until his retirement in 1992.

Over the years, Louis served on many boards, some of which included Kalamazoo Home Builders, Kalamazoo Business Exchange, General Contractors of America and Associated Building Contractors. He also enjoyed golfing, gardening, and playing Bridge with friends. He was a longtime faithful member of Centerpoint Church, formerly 3rd Reformed Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Denise and son-in-law, Bob. Also surviving are two very dear friends, Evelyn Munther and Phil Boltjes, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Louis in death were his parents; wife, Mary; and two brothers, John and Robert Drenth.
