DuPraw, Lorie Joy Borduin
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 from her home in Kalamazoo. Age 51 years. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI on August 15, 1960, the daughter of Melvin William and Jane Arlene Kroft Borduin. She worked as a registered nurse at Bronson Hospital and Tendercare Nursing Home for many years. Lorie was an active member of Reformed Baptist Church of Kalamazoo. She was involved with KAHSA and HPA. She loved her family very much and enjoyed knitting, gardening, reading, camping and playing the piano. She was married to Jeffrey Louis DuPraw on July 17, 1981; he survives her. Surviving besides her husband are three daughters and one son: Stephanie DuPraw of Texas, Rachel Benjamin Bular of Kalamazoo, Daniel DuPraw of Kalamazoo and Marissa DuPraw of Kalamazoo; her mother, Jane Borduin of Rockford, MI; one brother, Douglas Borduin and one sister, Karen Alex Vincent both of Rockford, MI; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lorie was preceded in death by her father, Melvin William Borduin. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Southridge Reformed Church, 6726 Texas Drive. Pastor Al Kenitz and Ric Kensinger will officiate. Private family interment will take place in Genesee Prairie Cemetery. Memorials may be made to: To Every Tribe Ministry, P.O. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at Southridge Reformed Church.
