MARTINDALE, Loretta Bernadine
of Galesburg, Michigan Went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2008 with all of her family surrounding her with so much love. Born September 2, 1934 in Standish, MI to Floyd and Eva Yarger; her children are William and Audie Vickers of Florida, Les and Jude Vickers of Shepard, MI, Walter Jay Leininger Jr., Katrina and Jim Newton and Kount Leininger, all of Kalamazoo. She was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Leininger on August 7, 1990; she had 3 other children that died shortly after birth, Jerry Lee, Katarina and Connie; she has 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Loretta has 3 sisters, Nancy Martin of Mt. Pleasant, Iona Sensabaugh of Freeland,, Ruth Westmoreland of Kalamazoo and 2 brothers, Floyd Yarger of Midland and David Yarger of Poseyville. She came from a very big family so she has a lot of nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and a very special Auntie L. Loretta was a devout Christian and a member of the Nazareth Assembly of God Church. She played the organ every Sunday there for 10 years. She loved teaching Sunday School and listening to gospel music. She was musically gifted with many instruments. She also was a nurse for 40 years. Her favorite color was purple and everyone knew this! Loretta did everything in style cowboy style that is. She loved sewing; she could make anything. Whatever she did, she did it with Flair. The viewing will be today Saturday September 13 from 12-5 pm at the Nazareth Assembly of God Church, 4039 Nazareth Rd. with her funeral service also at the church on Sunday at 11:00 am with Pastor John Wayman officiating. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway.
