Kalamazoo, MI Died Sunday evening December 5, 2010. Lois was born September 23, 1916 in Peru, Indiana a daughter of Francis and Eura Musselman Lowe. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1947 and was employed with WKZO for over 25 years, retiring in 1972. Lois was also a member of the Zion Lutheran Church; and Braille Workers. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, A. Virgil Shaw; 2 brothers, Harold and Clifford Lowe; and 2 sisters, Fran Tharp and Betty Plothow. Lois is survived by a step daughter, Vicki Al McClanahan of Plymouth, IN; a brother, Robert "Cheeky" Lowe of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1 o'clock Wednesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Rose Arbor Hospice Program or the Zion Lutheran Church. www.langelands.com . 343-1508.
