HUSE, Lois T.
Of Kalamazoo Lois Huse, died on November 25, 2012 at the age of 89. Born Lois Elaine Titus in Olney, Illinois on October 1, 1923. She received her B.S. in Geology at the University of Illinois where she met her future husband, Erle S. Huse. They moved to Rochester, New York in 1950 when he was an executive at Eastman Kodak in the international marketing division. He died in 1982. Lois was a homemaker and substitute elementary school teacher in the Pittsford, New York school system. She was a member of the Sherwood Community Gardening Club, a patron of the Rochester Philharmonic and dispatcher at the Pittsford Volunteer Ambulance. She is survived by two brothers, Ross and Clyde; three sons, Stephen of Rochester, New York, Brian of Hollywood, California and Geoffrey of Portage, Michigan as well as two granddaughters, Elaine and Aleah. Visiting hours will be today Tuesday, November 27 at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street from 6:00 - 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held at the Westside Chapel on Wednesday, November 28 at 4:00pm. A private burial will take place in Crystal Lake, Illinois. For those wishing to make a charitable donation, the family suggests the American Heart Association.
