Lois A. Van Dalson

VAN DALSON, Lois A. Lois Ann Van Dalson, age 78, went home to be with her Lord, August 24, 2012, at her residence. Lois was born June 3, 1934, in Portage, the daughter of Henry and Cora Schippers Nanninga, and has been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident. She was a member of the Haven Reformed Church. Lois was an avid golfer and member of the Kalamazoo Women's Golf Association and the Gull Lake Country Club. On October 19, 1966, she was united in marriage to William S. Van Dalson, who preceded her in death on March 11, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by two brothers, Henry Nanninga and Tom Oorbeck. Surviving are her brother, Robert Nanninga of Zeeland; her sisters, Jean Kiel of Kalamazoo, Bea DeLoof of Kalamazoo; her mother-in-law, Virginia Van Dalson of Galesburg; her sister-in-law, Jean Oorbeck; step-son, Edward Schuyler Van Dalson of Galesburg; and several nieces and nephews. Lois' family and friends will gather for a visitation and reception to celebrate her life on Monday, August 27th from 3-7 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. A private interment will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. Memorials in Lois' memory may be directed to Family & Children Services, Cheff Center, or Pretty Lake Vacation Camp.
