Lloyd E. Sirrine

Lloyd E. Sirrine, age 81, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023, in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born in Paw Paw, MI on March 31, 1942, to the late Leonard J. and Bertha E. (Roush) Sirrine. Lloyd proudly served his country as a medic in the United States Army. He married Linda Poe on August 31, 1963, and together they have been married over 60 years. Lloyd retired from the City of Kalamazoo Water Department as a heavy equipment Operator. Lloyd was a kind and loving dad who so loved his wife Linda, and even on his final day when it was hard to speak would say “Your mom is so pretty”. He was a faithful member of 12th Street Baptist Church, where he enjoyed working and volunteering his time. Lloyd came to his faith later in life, but the church became very important to him, and he so loved his church family. He also enjoyed golfing, reading, and working in his yard. Lloyd also loved dogs and always had treats for neighborhood pets, and they would drag their owners to the house for their treat. 
Surviving are his loving wife, Linda Sirrine; children, Scott (Patricia) Sirrine and Michelle Nottingham; three grandchildren, Summer Sirrine, Gwen Sirrine, and Max Nottingham. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Timothy Sirrine.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, beginning at 10:00 am at 12th Street Baptist Church 3911 S. 12th St. Kalamazoo, MI 49009 until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to 12th Street Baptist Church or Kairos Dwelling, in memory of Lloyd Sirrine.
