Stevensville, MI Died Thursday evening December 31, 2009. Lloyd was born June 28, 1928 in East Chicago, Indiana a son of Louis and Mary Simon Krieger. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Army as an MP. He was employed with the Whirlpool Corporation for 40 years before retiring. Lloyd also enjoyed playing on the Whirlpool fast pitch softball team with his buddies. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Roy Krieger. Lloyd is survived by a sister, Mary Lou Dr. Jack Hunt of Kalamazoo; 6 nieces and nephews, Richard Shaun Krieger of New York, Jack Jennifer Krieger of Patchogue, NY, Dr. John Hunt of Kalamazoo, Mary Kay McDaniel of Okemos, MI, Dr. James Jan Hunt of Kalamazoo, and Thomas Lisa Hunt of Kirkland, OH; grand nieces and nephews, Kelly and Mike McDaniel, Shelly and Steven Hunt, Anna and Lewis Hunt, Nathan and Alyssa Hunt, James and Mike Krieger, and Tom and Benjamin Krieger; and lifelong friends, Don Shaffer, Joe Vsyrol, and Lawrence Winnell. Services will be held 11 o'clock Tuesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Comstock Public Schools Athletic Department. www.langelands.com . 343-1508.
