Three Rivers

Lisa Jean Annable-Knight, age 69, of Three Rivers, Michigan, passed away on November 11, 2023, at her home.

Lisa was born on January 29, 1954, in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Eugene Lindsay and Elizabeth Helen (Osborn) Childress. She graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1972. She attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College and then transferred to North Central Michigan College, graduating with a degree in respiratory therapy which she practiced in Michigan and California. She also worked in Early On for the Van Buren Intermediate School District.

Lisa was married to her first husband, Craig James Annable on September 19, 1981; he preceded her in death on November 16, 2015. As a sailor, Lisa was a part of the Maritime Heritage Alliance in Traverse City, Michigan where she attended Bible Baptist Church and began a lifelong commitment of leading and serving in women's and children's ministries even as she moved to new communities in Evansville, Indiana and Kalamazoo, Michigan. She served in the high school ministry at Calvary Bible Church in Kalamazoo for 20 years, and most recently has had an impact for Christ on the youth via YoungLife in the Petoskey area. An avid enthusiast of outdoor activities and fitness, Lisa enjoyed water skiing, snowshoeing, paddleboarding, hiking, biking, and kayaking, most of all doing these things with her friends, the "Happy Yakkers." Lisa was married to Jeffrey Burt Knight on February 19, 2022; he survives her.

She is also survived by her two children, Jessica (Ben) Lake and Christian James Annable (Stephanie Polomcak); five grandchildren, Lyric Annabelle Lake, Atlas Evander Lake, Elizabeth Melody Annable, Kai Joseph Annable, and Zephyr Craig Lake; sister, Beth Childress (Mike Webb), three cousins, one aunt, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her loving parents.

Family and friends may visit with the family from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, November 18 at Calvary Bible Church, 855 S. Drake Rd., Kalamazoo, MI 49009.

A celebration of Lisa's life will be held immediately following at 2pm in the same location, with Pastor Steve Harrington officiating.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to YoungLife, PO Box 215, Petoskey, Michigan 49770.
