KEELER, Lindsay Leon Died June, 13, 2012 at the age of 83. Lindsay was born to the late Leon and Ruth Putnam Keeler. He was united in marriage to Betty Jeanne Leetz, who preceded him in death in 1979. He later married Patricia Flynn, who preceded him in death in 1997. For the majority of his life, Lindsay worked in the paper manufacturing and printing ink business, employed by KVP Sutherland, Brown Paper Company and Acme Printing ink. He retired from his career in the printing ink business with Sun Chemical Company in New Jersey. Lindsay held a life-long interest in firearms. Even as a boy he loved hunting near his family's farm in Oshtemo. It was on that farm that he acquired a love of machinery and the gained ability to solve problems with his hands. As a young man he enjoyed motorcycles and fast cars. Later in life he expressed himself through wood working and metal working as well as photography. As an older man he actively introduced another generation to the technologies and life styles of an earlier time through his interest in antique engines and tools. He will be greatly missed by his children, Linda Dove Portage and Andrew Keeler Christine Berro of Augusta and 7grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Services will take place Friday, 11:00 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave., where family will greet friends from 10-11:00 prior to services. Pastor Rob Schwartz will officiate. A private interment will take place at Almena Cemetery.
