Lindsay Lee Carr

July 20, 1980 — August 2, 2024

Kalamazoo

Lindsay Lee Carr, age 44, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, was a warrior. However, she lost her battle against Vulvar cancer and passed away on August 2nd, 2024.

Lindsay was born on July 20th, 1980, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Bruce and Diane (DeYoung) Callander. She was one of three children and enjoyed her role as the oldest sister. She graduated from Otsego High School with the class of 1998 and continued her education at Western Michigan University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing. Lindsay was a dedicated employee at Bronson’s Mother’s Milk Bank and was passionate about supporting mothers and infants.

Lindsay was a woman of many talents; she always knew how to plan a party and where to shop for the best deals, but above that, she was a good wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and so much more who cared about so many.

Lindsay was her children's biggest fan, and she could always be found cheering them on at their many sporting events.

She always cherished time spent with her family and friends. She enjoyed relaxing by the water and soaking in the sun. Lindsay loved spending time at her grandparent's lake house on the shore of Lake Michigan, as well as boat rides and gatherings at her parent's cottage on Pine Lake. Her favorite holiday was the 4th of July, and she always admired the fireworks shows.

Lindsay is survived by her husband, Nathan, whom she married on March 5, 2011, and her two children, Cyleigh and Teagan.

She is also survived by her parents; siblings, Ashley (Thomas) Majdan and Whitney Puente; her sister-in-law, Sarah (Brent) Dunn; her in-laws, Dave and Jeanne Carr, as well as aunts, uncles, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Lindsay was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Irene DeYoung, Dr. C. Glen and Dorothy Callander, and brother-in-law, Michael Carr.

A Memorial Service of Lindsay's life will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI. Friends may gather from 2:00 pm until the time of service. A private burial will be held at Austin Cemetery in Waverly Township at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a GoFundMe account where donations can be made to help support the education of Lindsay's children, Cyleigh and Teagan.
