Linda A Steele

STEELE, Mrs. Linda A. Kalamazoo, MI Died Sunday evening August 19, 2007. Linda was born October 29, 1943 in Grand Rapids, Michigan a daughter of Walter and Alice Spicer Dollahite. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was employed with Parchment Public Schools for 30 years before retiring. She was also a member of the Portage Eagles #3531 Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her father; and a step son, Darrell Steele, Jr. In December of 1968, she was united in marriage to Darrell D. Steele, Sr. who survives. Also surviving, her mother, Alice Dollahite of Kalamazoo; 4 sisters, Ernestine Rugg of Kalamazoo, Louise Kotus of Grand Rapids, Maxine Wiejaczka of Aurora, IL, and Ruth Donald Frazine of Kalamazoo; an aunt, Dena Smith of Azle, TX; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may meet the family 6-8pm Wednesday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Private burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Greater Kalamazoo.
