Linda L. Shinevare

SHINEVARE, Linda L.
of Douglasville, Georgia
formerly of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away August 28, 2012 at the age of 71. She was born November 2, 1940 in Red Bay, AL to the late Coston and Charlie Alverson Stone. Linda was united in marriage to Harold Joseph Shinevare, Jr., who preceded her in death on March 6, 1996. Linda's many interests included traveling, reading, sewing, crocheting, watching television and cooking. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards and visiting interesting places. She received her biggest enjoyment from her family. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest treasures. Surviving Linda are her children, Cynthia Gordy Hall of Portage, MI, L. Joyce Bill Lumsden of NC, Kathy Scott Kaylor of Scotts, MI, Tina Craig Blanton of Douglasville, GA, Barbie Shinevare of Wayland, MI and Rick Michelle Shinevare of portage, MI; 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Richard Barbara Stone; sister, Barbara Barker; and many nieces and nephews. Also preceding Linda in death was a granddaughter, Jamie Lumsden of NC. Family will greet friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave., where funeral services will take place, Wednesday at 11:00 o'clock. A private interment will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of S.W. Michigan.
