of Kalamazoo, MI Passed away November 17, 2008 at her residence. She was born January 16, 1949 in Kalamazoo and had been a Kalamazoo resident for all of her life. Linda was a devoted family person who especially enjoyed being with each of the family's children. She also enjoyed her arts and crafts, specifically quilting and embroidery. Surviving Linda are her sisters, Mary Allen Hilgers of Kalamazoo, Sherri Downing of Kalamazoo, Patricia Gregory DuPont of Warsaw, IN, Renoma Boyer of Kalamazoo, Constance Maston of Kalamazoo, Helen Bruce Bargas of TN; brothers, Richard Patricia Downing of Wilmington, DE and John Brooks of TN; many cousins and; several nieces and nephews. Preceding Linda in death were her parents, Robert D. Orr and Rebecca Downing. A memorial service will take place at 12 noon, Saturday, November 22nd at the Milwood United Methodist Church, 3919 Portage St., with family greeting friends from 11:00-12:00 o'clock. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Memorials may be directed to the Milwood United Methodist Church. www.langelands.com . 343-1508
