Lillian A. Wilkening

WILKENING, Lillian A. Portage Passed away Thursday morning, August 2, 2007, at Rose Arbor Hospice Care, Kalamazoo. She was born November 12, 1923 in Orland, IN to the late Harry and Ellen Stuck Stoldt. She was married to Walter Wilkening for 43 years. Walter preceded her in death in October of 1988. Above all else, Lillian had a love of family and friends. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for many years, 20-plus of those years as its financial secretary. Among her personal interests, she loved golf and playing bridge. Surviving Lillian are; children, Stephen Kathleen Wilkening of Katy, TX, Dean Beverly Wilkening of Decatur, IN and Ann Mark Stickels of Bangor, MI; grandchildren, Brian, Sarah, Peter, Phillip, Christopher, Deanne, Benjamin, Daniel and Katie; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Mallette; brother-in-law, Alvin Shafer; special friends, Philip and Nancy Franckowiak; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were sisters, Willadean Asher and Beverly Shafer. A visitation will take place, Saturday, August 4th, from 2 ? 4:00 and 6 ? 8:00PM, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave, Portage, MI. Funeral services will be held 2:00 o'clock PM Sunday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1515 Helen, Portage, Pastors Jerry and Janet Duggins, officiating.
