SOFEN, Lillian M.
Of Kalamazoo, Michigan Lillian passed away early Monday morning, November 15, 2010. She was born February 2, 1921 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Max and Ruth Pullen LaVene. Preceding her in death were her husband, Harry B. Sofen; her parents; and her sister, Patricia Bode. Surviving are her four children, Ronn Sofen of Kalamazoo, Nancy Dr. Hilary Zarnow of Wichita, KS, Frederick Sofen of Northville, MI, and Gregory Sofen of Wichita, KS; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Phyllis LaVene of Gull Lake. Funeral services for Lillian will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, with Rabbi Harvey Spivak officiating. Interment will follow in Jewish Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to The Sofen Learning Center at The Congregation of Moses.
