Of Kalamazoo Lillian went home to be with her Lord and Savoir on Friday evening, January 11, 2013. She was born July 17, 1921 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Paul and Cecelia Dvorak Tucek. Preceding her in death were her husband, John Adam in 1980; two grandchildren, Susan and Charlie Massey; and sister, Evelyn Evenhuis. Surviving are her four children, Jack Elaine Adam of Freemont, Burt Jean Adam of Kalamazoo, Mary Ann Charlie Massey of Kalamazoo, and Patty Doug Robinson of Kalamazoo; nine grandchildren, Warren Michelle Adam, Jacquelyn Jody Olney, Jeff Dawn Adam, Paul Adam, Daniel Kristin Adam, Michelle Jim Barnes, Lisa Dan Apotheker, Derek Robinson and Bethany Robinson; twenty great-grandchildren, Nathan, Marley, Kara, Alyssa, Kayla Hannah, Adam, Ben, Michael, Kayla, D.J., Danielle, Sian, Lexin, Logan, Annabelle, Porter, Zachary, Ellena and Dax; three great-great-grandchildren; niece, Beverly Labelle; and nephew, David Joyce Boubelik. Lillian was the co-owner and operator of Evergreen Park which her family purchased in 1966. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Lillian was a member of Temple Baptist Church where she was actively involved with her extended church family. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 PM on Thursday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. A funeral service for Lillian will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Temple Baptist Church, 3706 Mt. Olivet Road, with Rev. Dr. Herb Hutchinson and Rev. D. Scott Dexter officiating. Interment will follow the luncheon at West Cooper Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Temple Baptist Church or Czechoslovak Baptist Convention.
