KLOK, Leonard D. "Len"
Kalamazoo, Michigan Len was born on July 8, 1925 and his Lord called him into his eternal life on August 10, 2008. A lifelong resident of Kalamazoo, he served in the Unites States Navy from 1943 to 1946. He was employed by the Miller Lumber Company for 38 years and then by Kallewaard-Bergerson for 12 years. He loved to serve his Lord and worshipped with the members of the Grace Christian Reformed Church. On September 12, 1947, he was married to his faithful wife, Janet Onderlinde Klok, who preceded Len in death on January 26, 2006. Len is survived by three sons and one daughter, Roger Jan Klok, Maribeth Heersink, Daniel Linda Klok, Bradley Klok and daughter-in-law, Cindy Klok; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; one sister and two brothers, Deloris Ted VanderMeer, John Nancy Klok, and Kenneth Kathy Klok; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Ada Klok and a beloved son-in-law, Dr. James Heersink. Following a graveside committal service on Thursday at 9:30 AM at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM at the Grace Christian Reformed Church, 1724 Whites Road with Rev. Dr. Harry Arnold officiating. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel 3926 S. 9th St. on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Grace Christian Reformed Church Benevolence Fund, Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan/Rose Arbor Residence or Crossroads Bible Institute. www.langelands.com 343-1508
