Leona Irene Shaffer

Leona Irene Shaffer, age 86, passed away October 16, 2013 with her loving family by her side. Leona was born May 18, 1927, in Claire, MI. to Clyde and Elida Butters. She was preceded in death by her loving husband William L. Shaffer. Surviving only child is Carlen Wigner. She was a sweet loving woman who loved everyone. Leona also has 6 grandchildren Sherry Powe, Cherry Powe Jr. "Knott" Cynthia, Chianti Powe, Samcherry Armstrong, Hi'lamor Powe, and Florence Powe. , 12 great grandchildren and many more great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may meet with the family from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. They may then meet at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. for the committal service.
