Kalamazoo, MI Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Lenora was born in Kalamazoo on September 18, 1932 the daughter of the late Joseph V. Shane, Sr. and Hilda Kelly Shane. She was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Lenora had many hobbies and interests, which included sewing, gardening, cooking & baking, arts & crafts and especially enjoyed making quilts. She also was an avid reader and was very interested in politics. In 1950 she was married to Harold Molenaar, who preceded her in death in 2002. Lenora is survived by four children, Kathy Reed, Lorrie Gary Nelson, Kelly Diana Molenaar and Jill Tom Vecchione; six grandchildren, Michael Jennifer Verleger, Katherine Verleger Roberts, Matthew and Lisa Vecchione and Danielle and Haley Molenaar; three great-grandchildren, Jackson and Alaina Verleger and Andrew Bradley Roberts; one brother, Joseph V. Shane, Jr.; a nephew, Mark Reynolds; and two nieces, Susan Shane and Karen Ireland. She was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Reynolds; and a son-in-law, Ruben Aguilar. Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit with the family from 12 - 1 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. officiated by Rev. James Dyke.
