JOLLIFFE, Lawrence D. "Larry"
Of Portage Passed away peacefully Sunday morning, January 20, 2008 at his residence. Larry was born July 25, 1934 in Plymouth, MI the son of Evered and Grace Wise Jolliffe. Larry was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army and was a graduate of Michigan State University. Prior to his retirement in 1997 he was a stock broker for over 20 years with First of Michigan. Larry was also an avid golfer, reader and world traveler. On November 11, 1967 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, the former Judy Kaiser who survives. Also surviving are his sisters and brother, Miriam, Kovall, Jean Champe, Keith Ruth Jolliffe; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; his beloved dog, Hobbes; and many good friends. There will be a gathering of family and friends Thursday afternoon from 4-6pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre. Private interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Larry's name may be directed to the Gilmore Keyboard Festival, Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes, Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, or the charity of your choice. www.langelands.com
