HARMON, Laura B.
Kalamazoo Laura passed away Tuesday morning, November 13, 2007 at Borgess Medical Center, a result of congestive heart failure. She was born on June 4, 1927 in West Bend, KY, the daughter of the late Shade and Alice Harris Combs. Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Harmon, on December 22, 1999; her parents, and several sisters. In addition to working outside the home, Laura raised ten children: Fannie Harmon of FL, Jack Jeannie Harmon of Lacey, WA, Jim Harmon of Delton, Betty Harmon of Kalamazoo, Edna Mike Pietritsch of NJ, Mary Helen Harley Campbell of Kalamazoo, Floyd Jr. Gail Harmon of Mendon, Paul Steven Sandy Harmon of Allegan, Tom Kim Harmon of FL, Patricia Harmon and her son, Travis, of Kalamazoo, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her survivors Laura leaves behind her dear friends at Spring Valley Crossing Apartments. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A private interment will be held at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. As an expression of sympathy Laura, through her family, requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Kairos Dwelling Home for the Terminally Ill, 2945 Gull Road, Kalamazoo, MI, 49048, or a charity of your choice.
