Lartee (Marquis) White

Lartee White, age 97, passed away August 17, 2023. She was born August 7, 1926 in Pittsboro, Mississippi to the late Walter Hulon and Maggie (Leonard) Marquis.

Lartee was an avid golfer and member of the Eagles Aerie 526 and VFW Post 827. She could be sweet, she could be sassy, and she was always ready for a good time.

Lartee was preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas Dale White; grandson, Max; great-granddaughter, Lindsey; and siblings, Homer Lee (Mavis) Marquis, Eloise (Early) White, and Glispie (Rena) Marquis.

She is survived by her children, Sylvia (Thomas) Tyler, Larry White, and Philip White; 66 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 1:00pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009, where family will greet friends from 11:30 until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South.
