Larry Zudweg

ZUDWEG, Larry
of Plainwell, Michigan Died December 10, 2012 at the age of 83. He was born June 3, 1929 in Kalamazoo MI.1 to the late John and Wilhelmina Maas Zudweg. He was united in marriage to Betty Blanchard who preceded him in death in May of 1988 and to Jerrie Botma who preceded him in death in April of 2011. Larry was a member of Grand Rapids First Assembly Church. Larry enjoyed managing his sons' baseball teams and the church softball teams. Among his other interests were water skiing, bowling and roller skating. Larry and Betty were missionaries in Ethiopia for 2 years from 1966 to 1968. Surviving Larry are his children, David Vickie Zudweg of Grand Rapids, Don Joyce Zudweg of Plainwell, Cheri Ken Fraaza of Richland and Teri Dale Miller of Scotts; 21 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding Larry in death were a grandchild Shawna Fraaza; brother, John Zuydwegt, Jr, and a sister, Sheila Britton. Family will greet friends on Thursday, December 13th from 5-8PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. and again for 1 hour prior to the funeral service 10-11 am at the church. Service will take place Friday, December 14th at 11:00 o'clock at Haven Church, 5350 N. Sprinkle Rd. A private burial will take place at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South.
