THORPE, Larry A.
Of Kalamazoo, Michigan Larry passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at his home. He was born September 18, 1944 in Kalamazoo, the son of Gerald and Virginia DeBoer Thorpe. A 1962 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School, Larry was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He loved four wheeling and was a member of the Kalamazoo Sundowers 4x4 Club. Surviving are his twin brother, Jerry Thorpe of Kalamazoo; nephew, Jay Thorpe; niece, Ginny Jamie Altenburger; great-niece, McKinley Altenburger; great-nephew, Jerry Thorpe; and two uncles, James Judy DeBoer and John Pat DeBoer both of Kalamazoo. Graveside services with military honors for Larry will be 10:00 AM Friday at Alamo Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 622 S.
