SULLIVAN, Larry C.
of Kalamazoo Passed away November 9, 2012 at the age of 74 after a courageous fight with cancer. He was born July 11, 1938 in Kalamazoo to the late William and Marjorie Alverda Sullivan. He was united in marriage to Sandra Webster on October 13, 1990, who survives. Larry honorably served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Portage-Schoolcraft Eagles and was the Vice-President of the Highpointe Condominium Association. He was a well-known businessman in the school bus industry as a Carpenter Distributor. Also surviving Larry are his children, Cindy David Johnston of Kalamazoo, Teri Carl Shermetaro of Rochester Hills and Cathy Michael Hogan of Scotts; step-children, Laura Scott Silverman and Thomas Webster; grandchildren, Nicholas, Jacob and Lucas Shermetero, Michael Hogan, Kimberly O'Brien, Matthew Norris and Kaila Silverman; mother of his daughters, Carol Sullivan; brother-in-law, Fred Barb Roush; several nieces and nephews; and his constant companion Sam. Also preceding Larry in Death were 6 step-brothers. Family will greet friends on Wednesday from 11-1:00 at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. A private graveside service will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Kalamazoo. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to West Michigan Cancer Center
