Kalamazoo Passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011. Larry was born October 1, 1949 in Kalamazoo, a son of Cornelius and Grace Nap Schoonbeck. He was a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area and had worked for Durametallic for 25 years as a machine operator. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing. Larry is survived by his sons, Mike Schoonbeck of Mattawan and Mark Veronica Schoonbeck of Paw Paw; his mother, Grace Schoonbeck of Kalamazoo; his brother, Ron Ginger Schoonbeck of Kalamazoo; two grandchildren, Evan and Adrianna; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, and a sister, Barbara Freemire. A gathering for Larry's friends and family will be held at a later date.
