REDINGER, Larry "Jack"
Of Kalamazoo Larry Jack Redinger was born January 29, 1927 in South Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the son of Homer and LaRue Kerr Redinger and died February 12, 2011 in Kalamazoo. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army and later was life member and Past Commander of Joseph B. Westnedge American Legion Post #36, life member of Delton VFW Post #422 and past Chef-de-Gare of the 40/8 Voiture #161. Jack was also a member and Past Master of Schoolcraft Lodge #118 F&AM, Saladin Temple Shrine, Kalamazoo Shrine Club, Past Director of Kalamazoo Shrine Camel Patrol, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite and member of Kalamazoo Rod & Gun Club. For over 31 years he was employed with Root Springs Mfg., where he retired from in 1987 as Supervisor. On June 29, 1957, he was united in marriage to the former Judith Ann McElwain who preceded him in death on March 20, 2004. Surviving are his brother, Robert Redinger of Kalamazoo; two nieces, Nancy Leo Hooker of Galesburg and Linda Jim Salter of Kalamazoo and many great nieces and nephews. In accordance with Jack's wishes cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 12th in Grand Prairie Cemetery.
