Little, Larry Neil Sr.
Kalamazoo, MI Passed away Thursday evening, July 8, 2010, at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence after a brief illness, with his family at his bedside. Larry was born May 23, 1953 in Kalamazoo, the son of Jack and Lucy Noordermeer Little. He graduated from Delton Kellogg High School in 1971 and not long after on March 24th, 1972, he married the love of his life, Nancy Jane Mulder. Together they raised and loved two sons. Larry was employed at Upjohn/Pfizer for 32yrs until his recent retirement in October 2008, when he decided to pick up fishing, hunting and enjoying his grandkids full time. Larry enjoyed everything outdoors, and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed hiking in the Smokey Mountains, as well as surf fishing in the Gulf of Mexico; just being outside was a large portion of his life. In 1992, Larry found a joy greater than any fishing trip, it was the birth of his first of eight grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Jack Little. Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Nancy Jane Little of Kalamazoo; two sons: Larry Jr. Pollie Little of Portage and Timothy Beth Little of Dowagiac; ten grandchildren: Keith of North Carolina, Chelsea, Steven and Tristan of Portage, Anthony, Shawn, Joseph, Haley, Ashley and Autumn all of Dowagiac; mother, Lucy Mitchell of Gulf Breeze, FL; seven siblings: Jack Alice Little of MS, Mary George Brown of Pensacola, FL, Michael Little of Grand Rapids, MI, Janet Jim Simington of Delton, MI, Sandra King of Gulf Breeze, Fl, David Debra Little of Ocala, FL, and Lora Little of Gulf Breeze, FL; sisters-in-law, Marcia John Blue of Byron Center, MI and Carol Jeff Simpson of Lebanon, NJ; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services for Larry will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Friends may visit with the family and join them in celebrating Larry's life from 4-7 PM on Wednesday and from 1-2 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
