Lanny D. Provost

PROVOST, Lanny D.
of Portage, Michigan Passed away Thursday morning, October 25, 2012 at his residence. Lanny was born January 4, 1942 the son of Leslie and Helen Hedges Provost. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1961-1964. Prior to his retirement he worked for 27 years for Smith and DeBree. Lanny was a handyman and enjoyed working around the house. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed traveling and listening to music. On December 12, 1980 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, Berrianne who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Anne and Joseph Goode; sister, Gay Moore; sisters-in-law, Shirley and Connie Provost; uncle and aunt, Roger and Bobbie Provost; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday October 27, 2012 at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 7028 Oakland Dr. Friends may meet the family on Saturday from 10:30-11:00 at the church. Private interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.
