Kyle Lee Gabriel

Passed away Saturday afternoon, December 15, 2018 at his home. Kyle was born February 21, 1968 in Kalamazoo the son of Maxie "Max" and Joyce "Joey" (Coffinger) Gabriel. Kyle was a graduate of Loy Norrix High School and was employed for many years as a pipefitter with R.W. Lapine. He was a proud member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 357. Kyle enjoyed the outdoors, which included snowmobiling up north, boating, fishing, hunting, and golf. He also enjoyed woodworking, and spending time with his family and friends. Kyle was preceded in death by his father, Max Gabriel. He is survived by his son, Connor Gabriel; his mother, Joey (Bruce) Kruithoff; brother and sister, Tad (Renee) Gabriel, Amy Gabriel Roberts; nieces and nephews, Kaylee, Emily, Anna, and Joey Quertermus, Olivia Roberts, Taylor, Maxwell, Henry Gabriel; and step-mother, Cheryl Gabriel. A service to celebrate Kyle's life will be held at 11:00am Thursday, December 20 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Friends may meet the family from 5-8pm Wednesday, December 19 at the Westside Chapel.
